Brazoria County Judge James Blackstock

The Houston Chronicle reports that Judge James Blackstock has been charged with 14 counts of official oppression.  The charges center around soon to be former Judge Blackstock condcuting himself in a lewd manner with 3 female county employees.  No details have been released as to the age, marital status, or length of employment of these employees.

Some of the conduct includes touching these women's breast and buttocks.  Obviously these were not consensual encounters or the DA's office would not know about them.  Shockingly but not surprising, the old county computer system was used to send emails and photos.  I bet Wayne Dolcefinio or however you spell that guy's name is scurrying down there with a Public Information Request.  We should have those emails before supper.  It is shocking that number one the Judge felt comfortable to give such concrete evidence against himself by sending an email but number two, he felt bullet-proof enough to do it on the Tax Payer's Computer.  Awesome.

I am impressed that Brazoria County Distrcit Attorney Jerri Yenne did not just sweep this under the rug.  At the same time, Jerri Yenne will be closely scrutinized by everyone to determine if Blackstock is treated like all other criminal defendants.  His case is listed on the Brazoria County web site like everyone else, but where is his mugshot?  Usually, there is a bond amount.  Maybe, the judge has not turned himself in yet.  I am curious to see if the Judge will be allowed to appear on a summons.

I am not sure the last time Blackstock was on the bench.  Was it this morning?  I have been in front of Judge Blackstock a time or two.  Like many judges, he gave off the "holier than thou, how can you be so stupid Mr. or Mrs. citizen."  Now he is Mr. Citizen accused of doing something stupid.  This case should remind all ADA's and Judges that we are all human and at times we all do incredibly stupid things.

Should he receive compassion?  That is up to a judge/jury!

Unfairly Treated - August 29, 2008 7:30 PM

I was a victim in Blackstock's court room. What goes around comes around. He was biased against me and 2 little girls whose father left because of "greener pastures" without financial burdens. I got all the bills and he got everything else thanks to Judge Blackstock's decision. It was wrong. We went thru 3 trials until my ex got exactly what he wanted after he hired an attorney that was in a law practice with Blackstock and I did not know it. The case was put in Blackstock's court room after his "partner" requested to be moved to Blackstock's court room. I am so proud of the DA Yenne. Way to go! Thanks God he won't be treating any other women with so little regard!

I too was a victim of his corruptness, while in judge Blackstocks court room for a divorce case. My wife hired an attorney friend of judge Balckstock(probably equally corrupt). Although my attorney from (Harris county and not friends of Blackstock) presented all the evidence, pictures, phone records, and all evidence pointed at my wife's fault, he awarded my wife everything and I got the boot, alymony, child support, fees, etc. After the case, I later heard from someone in my wifes side of the family that the judge or her attorney had made a remark, that my wife was a MILF. What went on, who knows...if he did this to the people he worked with who knew of his power, imagine what he probably did with the public.

What is so unfair is he was allowed to keep his retirement. His bail was so low and I bet he didn't see the inside of a jail.

I know this man on a personal level and none of you know what you are talking about. He was very professional and took his job very serious. Firm But Fair so whatever you both got im sure you deserved and you shouldnt that cloud your views on what kind of a person he was because what happend is false. guess you didnt hear about the polygraph that he passed. i suppose you never saw him with his family or his participation in the community. no of course not. when something like this happens everyone wants to believe a scandal and put there two sense in when really they have no idea. so, dont forget the saying "if you cant say anything nice, dont say anything at all.

I also know James Blackstock, and sometimes he can be harsh. Although sending a picture for anyone else over the text or email will not get anyone else facing charges. Unless they are underage. Touching the breast of a woman without consent to other than a judge is merely a class "C" misdemeanor. A fine only.. if your not a judge. I also know Jeri Yenne, the female DA that is acting like she acts for the people. I know of many cases that Mrs. Yenne has dismissed to keep her other elected official friends out of bad publicity. Not prosecuted or made public crimes that would make her and her office look bad. She made the remark if she didn't pursue Blackstock, who would police the courts? Who polices the DA and their office? NO ONE. There have been over five serious cases covered up or not pursued by Jeri Yenne as of a favor, She definately has many skeletons...
